Launch of Winter Ready Leaflet

Louth County Council on Wednesday last launched a Winter Ready Leaflet to remind the community to prepare for unexpected weather events.

 

The leaflet was prepared on a regional basis jointly by the Local Authorities, An Garda Siochana and the Health Service Executive.  The leaflet gives timely guidance on:-

 

  • Preparing for the unexpected
  • The Household Emergency Plan
  • What I can do for the community

 

The leaflet was launched after a briefing was given by the Council to other agencies including Utilities, Transport Bodies and Emergency Services.

 

Welcoming the launch, An Cathaoirleach Councillor Conor Keelan highlighted the overall themes of Prepare, Respond and Recover.  Similarly, Joan Martin, Chief Executive pointed out the value of the document and the importance of multi agency approach.
