Public Participation Network (PPN)

The Local Government Reform Act, 2014, provides a new structure to harness and utilise public consultation.

This was developed by a National Working Group on citizen engagement, which advocated the development of a Public Participation Network (PPN).

This model, known as the Public Participation Network, replaced the Community & Voluntary Forum and is based on the Municipal District Structure.

All voluntary bodies are currently being requested to align themselves to Municipal Districts and to declare membership in one of the following colleges: Voluntary, Environment, or Social Inclusion.
