Register of Electors

The Electoral Reform Act 2022 recently came into force.  This means that both the Draft and Live Registers have now been replaced by a Rolling Register of Electors.  This Rolling Register will be continuously updated.

New applicants to the register will now have to provide their PPSN, as well as their date of birth. The introduction of PPSNs will contribute to greater accuracy, enabling identity data to be cross-checked.

New applicants can Register online via www.checktheregister.ie and current electors can update their details using the same link.

Copies of the application forms can be downloaded below and sent to: Franchise Section, Louth County Council, County Hall, Millennium Centre, Dundalk, Co. Louth. A91 KFW6
