A multi-cultural Football Tournament was held on 07 April 2019 at the Dundalk Sports Centre, Muirhevnamor. The tournament involved Dundalk FC, Muirhevnamor FC, The House: Cox's and the Dundalk Islamic Centre. It provided an opportunity for young people to increase their awareness of and appreciation for other cultures. The tournament was labelled as a celebration of Dundalk's multi-cultural society and aimed to break down barriers in terms of racism. It was attended by Dundalk FC team players Brian Gartland and Sean Murray, and Head Coach Vinny Perth. They spoke to the children and young people and signed autographs.
