Louth County Council and Third Sector Connect were pleased to mark the launch of SportPlus: Shared Goals, which took place last Wednesday at The Fairways Hotel, Dundalk, on 15/04/2026.

The event saw community groups, sporting organisations, and partner agencies come together to explore the positive role sport can play in promoting inclusion, wellbeing, and shared community outcomes.

The event featured a panel discussion between Bobby Burns of Dundalk FC, Zoe Valentine, Dundalk R.F.C (Official) Women’s Team, Brian Fitzpatrick, Sport & Exercise Psychologist and Jo Buchanan, Head Coach, Irish Wolfhounds Men’s Flag Football (American Football Ireland). They shared insights and experiences on participation, leadership, and the role of sport in supporting stronger, more connected communities.
