Local Enhancement Programme 2026

 

Local Enhancement Programme 2026 – Application process will open on 19th January 2026

 

The Local Enhancement Programme (LEP) 2026 will provide capital funding to support a wide range of small community groups and organisations throughout the county, with particular emphasis on those serving disadvantaged communities in both rural and urban settings.

 

The Local Enhancement Programme 2026 is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht.

 

There will be no grants for Current Costs in 2026 under the LEP Scheme.  The maximum application amount will be €5,000 and all works undertaken and/or purchases made must be completed and paid for by 28th August 2026.

 

In advance of the opening of the application process, groups who are interested in applying should start their application preparation by following the steps below:

 

  1. Identify the project(s) you wish to apply for

 

  1. Seek 3 quotations/estimates for equipment, upgrades or works

 

  1. Ensure you have a Tax Reference Number or Charitable Status Number for your group

 

  1. Ensure you have a Bank or Credit Union account for your group with name matching Revenue Information
