The Local Enhancement Programme 2025 (LEP) was launched on 7th November 2024 by Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys TD, and Minister of State for Community Development and Charities, Joe O’Brien TD. Administered by Louth County Council’s Local Community Development Committee (LCDC), the LEP supports community and voluntary groups, particularly in disadvantaged areas.

The programme provides capital funding for minor works, facility improvements, and equipment purchases, alongside current funding to assist with running costs such as utilities and insurance. Groups may apply for both funding streams.

Louth LCDC has been allocated €205,035 in capital funding and €34,172 in current funding for 2025.

The maximum application amount is €5,000 and all works must be completed and paid for by 29th August 2025.

Information Sessions

The Council are hosting a number of information sessions across Co. Louth to provide the public and community groups with information about the Local Enhancement Programme 2025 funding scheme, help with filling in the application form and assistance with uploading the form onto the Consult Louth portal. Information Sessions are free and will take place in libraries across Co. Louth in January 2025 and there will also be an online option. ..
