United Arab Emirates ambassador visits County Louth

The UAE Ambassador to Ireland, His Excellency Mr Mohamed Al Sahlawi, made an official visit to Dundalk Town Hall on Tuesday 28th January.

He was welcomed by David Conway, Chief Executive of Louth County Council, Cllr Kevin Callan, Cathaoirleach of Louth County Council, and representatives from Louth County Council, LEO Louth and Dundalk Chamber.

This visit to Dundalk, facilitated by Louth County Council, provided local businesses with the opportunity to meet the Ambassador, discuss areas of mutual interest, and explore ways to strengthen trade and investment links.

"We were honoured to welcome His Excellency Mr Mohamed Al Sahlawi to Dundalk,” said Thomas McEvoy, Director of Services, Louth County Council.

“This visit reflects the growing relationship between County Louth and the United Arab Emirates, and we are eager to build on the opportunities it presents for local businesses and the wider community."

Mr McEvoy also highlighted the significance of the visit in fostering economic growth, saying: "It is vital that we continue to develop international connections like these.

“The Ambassador’s visit enabled meaningful discussions on potential partnerships and trade links that will benefit the region in the long term."
