Temporary Road Closures: Lú Festival of Light

Louth County Council hereby notifies the public of the following road closures in Drogheda to facilitate the Lú Festival of Light.

  • West Street, Wellington Quay
  • Fr Connolly Way
  • St Laurence Street
  • Palace Street in Drogheda 
  • West St (R900) from its junction with Fr Connolly Way (L-77008) to its junction with St Peter's St (L-1674)/Shop St (R900)
  • St Laurence St (L-1671) from its junction with St Peter's St (L-1674) / Shop St (R900) to its junction with Palace St (L-16711)
  • Palace St from its junction with St Laurence St (L-1671) to its junction with William St (L-16741)

The road closures will be in effect from 5.45pm to 9.45pm on the 24th, 25th, 26th and 27th October 2025.

Diversions for traffic will be in place, and emergency access will be maintained at all times.
