Public Consultation: The Longwalk, Dundalk

Louth County Council has launched an exciting new project to shape the future of The Longwalk area in Dundalk.

In partnership with LUC consultants, who have been appointed as the lead urban design team for the project, we are working to develop an Urban Regeneration Framework Plan that will guide the revitalisation of this key part of Dundalk.

As part of this process, we are continuing to engage with local residents, property owners, businesses and community groups to understand both the current use and future potential of The Longwalk.

We’ve already gathered valuable insights through our first public engagement event on April 10th, as well as the online survey held from March 21st to April 17th, and we are now inviting the public to a second public consultation event. Details below.

  • Tuesday, July 1st 2025
  • Between 12pm and 6pm
  • The Longwalk Community Room

This event offers another opportunity for the community to have their voices heard and help shape a shared vision for the regeneration of The Longwalk.

The Longwalk Urban Framework Plan is funded by the Urban Regeneration and Development Fund (URDF) and Louth County Council.
