Louth in Bloom Awards 2024-Awards Night

Louth in Bloom Awards Ceremony, Bellingham Castle 30th October 2024

Louth County Council hosted its fifth "Louth in Bloom" awards ceremony at Bellingham Castle on the 30th October 2024.  Louth in Bloom has become a cherished tradition celebrating residents, businesses, and organisations that take pride in their environment and work towards creating spaces that are not only visually appealing but also sustainable and eco-friendly.

Cathaoirleach of Louth County Council, Councillor Kevin Callan, welcomed attendees and set the tone for the evening, emphasising the significant impact of community-led initiatives on the county’s wellbeing. he remarked, “These awards represent more than just trophies or accolades; it is more than just a nice garden, they symbolise the nominees hard work, perseverance, and passion that goes into creating a vibrant county with a huge sense of pride.  With a strong commitment to sustainable practices and taking environmental responsibility, can appreciate & acknowledge the hard work and commitment that goes into maintaining such high standards. It is these standards that drive us all each year”

This year, the event featured the return of esteemed guest speaker, Ms. Éanna Ní Lamhna, an environmentalist, author and native of County Louth. Her insights and once again her wisdom added a valuable dimension to the ceremony, underscoring the importance of community involvement in environmental preservation, biodiversity and sustainability.
