Louth County Council reminds all beach users to follow the guidance of lifeguards at all times and to swim between the red and yellow flags, which mark the supervised bathing zone. Members of the public are also encouraged to familiarise themselves with basic water safety advice, including:

  • Never swim alone

  • Be aware of tides, currents, and changing weather conditions
  • Follow instructions from lifeguards immediately

The Council asks all visitors to respect the lifeguards, keep access routes clear for emergency vehicles, and dispose of litter responsibly to help maintain our beaches to a high standard.

Louth County Council looks forward to a safe and enjoyable bathing season for all.
