Ageism is widespread in institutions, laws and policies across the world. It damages not only individual health and dignity but also economies and societies.  With our ageing population continuing to grow now is the time to address the issue of ageism in County Louth.  The report will add to the growing body of literature on ageing and ageism and in doing so will continue to raise awareness that older people are not one homogenous group of frail, dependent people but a group made of individuals with different capabilities, needs and wants.

The data which forms the basis of this report has been provided to the research team in TU Dublin for more detailed analysis
