Launch of the PEACEPLUS Introduction to Community Restorative Justice Programme

The launch event of the PEACEPLUS Introduction to Community Restorative Justice Programme on Friday the 9th of October 2026 in Muirhevnamor Community Centre.

This event, hosted by Community Restorative Justice Newry/Armagh who will be delivering this programme, discussed the benefits that community restorative justice brings to Communities and celebrated this programme which takes the first steps at introducing community restorative justice in Louth. 

This programme aims to deliver two symposiums on the Introduction to Community Restorative Justice in Louth - to explore issues of perceived prejudice, discrimination, demonisation and social justice experienced by ex-political prisoners and their families on a cross border basis and to examine the experience of other restorative justice projects around the island of Ireland north and south, and to explore the feasibility and desirability of establishing community restorative justice programmes in County Louth.
