Can I build a front porch on my house without planning permission?

Yes provided that:

1. The floor area does not exceed 2 square metres and the height does not exceed 4 metres in the case of a tiled or slated pitched roof and 3 metres in any other case.
2. The porch must not be less than 2 metres from any road.
