Louth County Council introduced a new county-wide environmental competition "Louth in Bloom 2020" due to the Covid-19 Restrictions that were in place at the time.

We are pleased to announce that the second year of the “LOUTH IN BLOOM” competition will be open for entries/nominations from Monday 10th May 2021.

The aim of the competition is to acknowledge, recognise and reward the work being carried out during these difficult times by the community/business sectors and volunteers.

The categories in this competition included: Best Gardens, Best Housing Estates, Best Biodiversity Project and Best Hospitality and Business Premises.

Entries are being sought throughout the county and nominations can be made through a new on line portal see below.

Nomination forms, along with three accompanying photographs for each entry, (taken from different angles to ensure your nomination is viewed at its best) can be submitted through a new on line portal  Click HERE for access to online portal

Postal Nominations should be marked “Louth In Bloom 2021”, and posted to the Community Section, Louth County Council, County Hall, Dundalk by Friday 2nd July 2021 , or dropped into any of the Louth County Council post boxes at any of our offices in Ardee, Drogheda and Dundalk.

You may nominate your own premises or others in as many categories as you wish, and all entries will be judged by the adjudicating panel during the summer months.

Prizes will be awarded for each of the three District areas of Ardee, Drogheda & Dundalk, with overall County winners and a “Special Lifetime Contribution Award".

All Nomination Forms must be received by Friday 2nd July 2021; no late entries will be accepted.
